For our client we are searching for Coating / Adhesive Engineers. Our client is a professional and dynamic company in the rapidly growing international wind energy market. She specializes in the design and development of rotor blades and nacelles for wind turbines. With her specialty in the composites industry, this organisation with its advanced technology and expertise is unique in the world. As a Coating / Adhesive Engineer you are responsible for technical development, audits and evaluation of both coatings/adhesives (release projects) and suppliers that meet the organisations standards of quality and cost. As well as to conduct fundamental research to improve or generate new materials to improve quality of product and production processes. You participate in Blade Design Project teams. Tasks: Evaluates first, second and third degree suppliers and raw materials in terms of quality (IGI, COC) and cost for short and long term delivery and capacity in order to release materials; Combines technical and commercial aspects in negotiation of purchasing raw materials within a complex environment of internal and external interests in cooperation with the commercial team; Delivers technical service support in terms of knowledge transfer and constant monitoring of material behavior; Conducts complex projects mostly approval oriented using existing or new methods and theories to test and develop new coatings/adhesives within quality, HSE and quantitative requirements; Conducts complex research projects into coatings/adhesives and their behaviour with research institutes and universities; Sets up laboratory tests, calculates and analyses test results and prepares detailed reports with recommendations and conclusions; Ensures and monitors quality standards such as ISO/DIN/ASTM dictated and validated by Germanischer Lloyd/ DNV; Supervises, coordinates, monitors and evaluates evaluation, R&D or large scale tests within production organizations in India, China and USA to ensure (quality) standards are met and followed; Sets up and maintains documents on material specifications, release procedures, work instructions, test reports etc.; Develops and maintains technical expertise on advances and innovations in research and science in coatings/adhesive industry.

	Coating Chemicus (r&d) Deze functie biedt een ervaren postdoctoraal chemicus de uitdaging zijn innovatieve kwaliteiten te gebruiken voor de formulering van hittebestendige coatings die worden toegepast voor de productie van metallurgische gietstukken in de gieterij-industrie. Een sector die continue streeft naar verbetering van productiviteit en waar geautomatiseerde productieprocessen vragen om meer consistentie en kwaliteit in de toepassingen zoals dompelen, spuiten en flow-coating. Belangrijke vereiste voor deze functie is het snel kunnen ontwikkelen van een appreciatie van een bestaande formuleringstechnologie, testprocedures en toepassingsmethoden. Tevens levert u een bijdrage aan nieuwe technieken en kennis voor het verfrissen en verbeteren van de huidige producttechnologie. Binnen dit team (4 FTE) wordt gewerkt aan de ontwikkeling van nieuwe formuleringen en concepten voor toekomstige coatings. Als Coating Chemicus werkt u mee aan het toegepaste onderzoek binnen de Coatingsectie. Dit impliceert dat u op basis van experimentele data relaties kunt leggen tussen grondstoffen, coatingsamenstelling en toepassingseigenschappen. U draagt bij aan de ontwikkeling van nieuwe coatingproducten met klantspecifieke eigenschappen en aan de kennis over eigenschappen van bestaande producten. Daarnaast ondersteunt u de ontwikkeling van nieuwe technologieën om coatings te karakteriseren. U onderhoudt hiervoor contacten met diverse universiteiten, researchinstituten en toeleveranciers. Door uw gestructureerde en wetenschappelijke benadering van R&D draagt u mede bij aan de groei van de omzet en de versteviging van de vooraanstaande positie van Foseco op het gebied van coatingtechniek.
