- Responsible for working with the account managers and customers to define and manage successful execution of product/market development projects:- Customer visits with sales in the definition and qualifying stage - Product definition/opportunity analysis completion, including cost estimates, projected timing and resource needs(with engineering) - Customer liaison assisting the account manager to secure approvals and manage the development/project to meet customer expectations; - Custom product development project manager, responsible for working with engineering, mkt comm., sourcing, and manufacturing to drive successful execution of custom product development projects; - Executing product life cycle initiatives for European product lines; - Execute special projects as assigned; - Provide technical assistance, training and leadership for sales, customer service, and our customers as a subject matter expert; - Drive process and performance improvements in product development; - Assist and provide input to all new platform initiatives; - Support marketing communications for effective marketing mix and materials management, as well as new product launch development; - Business/Marketing Development for the assigned segment.

	Are You Our New Project Manager? The Project Manager will manage new Product innovation projects from idea phase till market introduction. Jobholder is responsible for the technical aspects as well as the commercial aspects of the project. In close cooperation with colleagues from Product Management, new product concepts are defined and specified. The Project Innovation Manager will consequently lead, steer, review and (if necessary) correct all required activities to transform this specification into tangible products within the shortest possible timeframe. He/she will lead a small group of development and specialist engineers (internal or external) that are assigned to the project. All other required disciplines are part of the Project Team that supports every innovation project. The Project Manager Innovation reports to the Groupleader PCT RDL. Dealing with internal and external suppliers (covering innovation resources as well as product components) is part of the job. - The project team consists of development engineers and technical specialists as well as subcontractors and suppliers; - Forming, leading and managing a team of development and specialist engineers that are assigned to a project; - Defining and updating the underlying product platform and modular concepts of the product portfolio of the SSL business lines; - Specification and defining of these new product concepts; - Leading, steering, reviewing and correcting all required activities to transform specifications into tangible products within the shortest possible timeframe; - Budget control; - Planning of the technical design of the product and the market introduction; - Delivers input for road-mapping, achitecture development and the overall SSL strategy.
